Finally, we were able to take her home. Grandpa Maurer was there to help! We dressed Aubrey up in her lamb coat which was given to us by Grandma "G". It was so cute. She was swimming in it!
I had some great coaches through my 24 hour labor! My mom, Jessi, and of course my very loving husband Mikey. My dad nervously waited in the waiting room. They came in to see me and Aubrey as soon as my c-section was over.
My water broke on Saturday, the 14th. Mikey frantically got me to the hospital in like 15 minutes. We were both completely shocked because I wasn't due until March 3rd. Mikey was hilarious. He ran up and down the stairs doing the most random things. He went outside and opened the garage and came back inside. He then remembered that he forgot to start the car so he went back outside and then came back inside again. Then he realized he forgot to put my bag inside the car so yes again he went back outside with my bag. He completely forgot everything he learned in lamaze class. He was so sweet and a little crazy! :) I had to keep reminding him to calm down but it didn't do much good.
Aubrey was born on February 15th at 5:56 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 18 inches long. I know we're biased, but she is the most beautiful person we have ever seen. We feel blessed to be given the most precious gift anyone could ever receive.
